How to enable multi-factor login authentication ?

Mobiloan enhances account security by offering two types of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) in addition to the standard User ID and Password login method:

1. One-Time PIN (OTP) Authentication

  • After entering their username and password, the user will be prompted to verify their identity by receiving a one-time PIN (OTP) via SMS.

  • The user must enter the received OTP within the login screen.

  • If the entered code matches the one sent, access to the system will be granted.

2. Surephrase Authentication

  • Users must set up an 8-character Surephrase (either a word or a numeric passphrase).

  • During login, the system will randomly prompt the user to enter specific characters from their Surephrase.

  • If the entered characters match the registered Surephrase, the user will be granted access.

Enabling MFA for Roles

Important: MFA settings are configured at the role level rather than for individual users. To enable MFA for a specific role:

  1. Navigate to Setup > Role

  2. Select the desired Role

  3. Go to the User Tab (as shown in the screenshot below)

  4. To enable OTP authentication: Toggle "Device Authorization" ON

  5. To enable Surephrase authentication: Toggle "Surephrase Required" ON

Once enabled, all users assigned to the selected role will be required to authenticate using the chosen MFA method.
