Transactions FAQ
How to change the status of a loan manually?
Mobiloan typically manages loan account statuses automatically — updating them to "Fully Paid," "Handed Over," or "Written Off" as needed, and ensuring credit bureaus stay up to date via SACCRA submissions.
However, if you need to manually update a loan’s account status, you can do so from the Loan Ledger screen. Look for the ‘Close Loan’ option, which allows you to perform this task directly.

How to remove an unlinked transaction?
Why Do Allps Presentments Appear Under the “Unlinked” Column?
Allps presentments appear in the “Unlinked” column when they originate from loans that have either expired or been cancelled. Once a loan becomes inactive, it is removed from the general ledger, making it impossible to match new presentments to that loan. As a result, any Allps response linked to the inactive loan is flagged as unlinked
How to Resolve an Unlinked Transaction?
To correct an unlinked transaction, follow these steps:
Open the Loan Account Locate the loan associated with the over-deduction or payment. This is the account to which the unlinked presentment should be assigned.
Create Refund Transactions For each unlinked transaction, create a matching refund transaction on the loan account. This temporarily reopens the loan to receive the payment.
Allocate the Unlinked Receipts With the refund transactions in place, allocate each unlinked receipt to the corresponding loan.
Move the Transactions Select the unlinked transactions in the table and move them to the now-reopened loan account. This re-establishes the correct linkage and balances the account.

How to receipt late fees?
A late settlement refers to the receipting of an overdue loan that includes additional late fees and interest calculated based on the number of days the payment is overdue.
Unlike an early settlement, late settlements incur accrued charges due to missed due dates.

How does the Auto Handover / Write‑off feature work?
Mobiloan manages overdue loans automatically through two key phases: Handover and Write‑off. These processes depend on the app configuration, defined waiting periods, and Auto‑Day‑of‑Month triggers.
Auto Handover Mechanics
When a loan becomes overdue and no recent receipts have been made (i.e., Date Receipted is empty or older than the SACRRA cut‑off date), Mobiloan starts an internal countdown based on the Handover Period (in days) set in your configuration.
Once that countdown completes, and the current date reaches or passes the configured Auto Handover Day in Month, Mobiloan automatically schedules and performs the following actions:
Sends a Section 129 notification SMS to the client to comply with NCA 129(1)(a).
Places the client status on Mangement Hold and allows 20 days to pass for a reciept to be processed.
If no receipt has been received after 20 days, Mobiloan updates the loan’s status to Handed Over.
Marks all existing and new collection tickets as Handed Over.
Submits the Handover status to SACCRA.
This ensures that adverse action (legal or credit reporting) only commences after the required Section 129 notification period has elapsed.
👉 Tip: Use Report 18 to view all loans that have reached the Handed Over stage.
Auto Write-off Mechanics
After a loan has been handed over and still shows no new repayments within the configured Write‑off Period, Mobiloan continues the next countdown automatically.
When the Auto Write‑off Day in Month is reached and the waiting period has elapsed, Mobiloan transitions the loan into write‑off as follows:
Updates the account status to Written Off.
Marks all collection tickets as Written Off to close them automatically.
Write-off SACRRA submission occurs , so that credit bureaus can be updated according to compliance requirements.
👉 Tip: Use Report 21 to view all automated Write‑off actions performed by Mobiloan.
⚙️ Summary of Key Triggers
Date Receipted is NULL or older than SACRRA cut‑off
Starts countdown for Section 129 notification (the first step before handover).
Auto Handover Day in Month
The calendar day each month when handover actions are applied.
Auto Write‑off Day in Month
The calendar day each month when write‑off actions are applied.
Configured Period Values
Control how many days Mobiloan waits between overdue detection, handover, and write‑off.
⁉️What is the SACCRA cut off date?
The SACRRA Cut‑off Date is the oldest date of last payment (receipt) that Mobiloan still considers “recent.” Any loan with a receipt older than this cut‑off — or no receipt at all — is flagged as stale and ready for the adverse‑action countdown (the system will send a Section 129 notice).
SACRRA cut‑off date ≈ 92 days – 20 business days (~64–70 calendar days) before today.
