Automatic Time Sync Guide (Non Windows Devices)

Steps

  1. Open Settings.

  2. Go to System or General Management.

  3. Tap Date & Time.

  4. Enable Automatic date & time.

  5. Enable Automatic time zone.

Notes

  • Automatic settings use network-provided or Google time servers.

  • Disable any options labeled Set date manually or Set time manually.


macOS – MacBook & iMac

Steps

  1. Click the Apple Menu System Settings (or System Preferences).

  2. Select GeneralDate & Time.

  3. Enable Set time and date automatically.

  4. Ensure the time server is set to time.apple.com.

Time Zone

  1. In Date & Time, select Time Zone.

  2. Enable Set time zone automatically using current location.


iPhone & iPad (iOS / iPadOS)

Steps

  1. Open Settings.

  2. Tap General.

  3. Select Date & Time.

  4. Enable Set Automatically.

Time Zone Check

  • When Set Automatically is enabled, the time zone is managed automatically.

  • If disabled, re-enable it to prevent sync issues.


Common Troubleshooting

If Automatic Time Cannot Be Enabled

  • Ensure the device has an active internet connection.

  • Restart the device.

  • Check for system updates and install any pending updates.

  • For mobile devices, disable VPNs temporarily and recheck settings.

Symptoms of Incorrect Time Settings

  • Login or authentication failures

  • SSL / certificate warnings

  • App sync or update errors

  • Payment or transaction timestamp issues
